That of Cascina Belvedere and therefore of the Picco family is a story of men and passions: It began in 1878 when Eusebio Picco and his wife Marianna moved from Asigliano Vercellese to San Genuario. The Vercelli Po Valley, rich in water, was perfect for passing on the art of rice cultivation to one's children. So in 1925 the Picco family moved to Bianz\u00e8, where they led Cascina Torrone to rice. In 1935 Benedetto Picco, the fifth of eleven children, took over Cascina Belvedere and, as has been the case for generations, he too passed on all his art and passion to his eldest son Eusebio. Thus begins a new chapter in the history of the Picco family, which will never move from Cascina Belvedere in Bianz\u00e9. Now the new generations combine the classic production with the reproduction of the seed, receiving various awards for the quality and purity of its selection. They begin to market their product directly without going through the rice industry, guaranteeing the consumer a pure product that comes directly from the fields, with total control of the entire rice production chain.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
